China Guardian is about to hold an E-BIDDING on its official website and APP from Aug 18 to Aug 27. The E-BIDDING, whose scale and quality are comparable to important offline auctions, can be divided into seven sections, offering 68 sessions and more than 3,000 items. It is an art feast and cannot be missed.
Scholars’ world
This section includes 10 sessions full of scholars’ taste, including calligraphy and paintings, rare books, and letters and manuscripts.
Besides offering artworks from important and famous Chinses artists, the highlight of the calligraphy and painting part is that it also offers art works from Japanese artists like Inoue Yuichi, Kaii Higashiyama, Kengo Kuma and Hakuin Ekaku.
As for other sessions, more than 300 items will be available to collectors at the auction, including letters and manuscripts of ancient, modern and contemporary artists. Old photos with signature of operatic circles in the Republic of China are worth anticipating.
Masterpieces by modern Chinese artists
This section has 10 sessions with rich categories, including works showing China's tea culture, works of the Qi Baishi painting school, fan works, and works of contemporary young potential painters to meet the different tastes of collectors.
Artsy trends
This section provides rich choices for trendy people. The eight sessions offer 20th Century and contemporary art works in various artistic techniques, such as oil painting, color ink, sketch, sculpture, printmaking, and photography.
Ceramics and works of art
A total of 12 sessions will be launched in this section, gathering more than 400 items.
Included in the ceramics sessions are select imperial kiln porcelain of the Qing Dynasty, especially the most popular in the market, imperial kiln porcelain of the late Qing Dynasty, which is worth anticipating.
Works in the art sessions include many items, such as jades, antique ornaments and Zisha pottery. The highlight is that this time, the Zisha pottery session carries out cross-border cooperation with contemporary painters for the first time.
Furniture and works of art
There are five sessions in this section, with more than 300 items, covering classical furniture, new furniture of well-known brands, red wood object holders of the Qing Dynasty, famous seal cutting, precious seal stones, hand tufted carpets, scholar’s objects and European tapestries.
Fashion and lifestyle
This section includes 14 sessions that embody the combination of fashion life and art, such as wine, tea, jewelry and Hermes bags.
Stamps, coins, silver sycees, banknotes and gold and silver wares
This is the first time for this section to debut on the E-BIDDING activity. All the machine-made coins and silver sycees are packaged in the boxes from professional appraisal institutions at home and abroad, which are simple and exquisite and worthy of collection. Precious stamps and letters by celebrities will appear in the E-BIDDING.
