Premium Rates Change
Since the 2015 Autumn Auctions, which ran from October 4 - 7, 2015, the Company has changed the rate of Premium as follows:
- 18% of the hammer price for items selling for less than HKD 5,000,000
- 15% of the hammer price for items selling between HKD 5,000,000 and HKD 20,000,000
- 12% of the hammer price for items selling for HKD 20,000,000 or more
Item Condition
Bidders are requested to examine items in previews and assume legal responsibilities for the consequences of their bidding. For more information on items for sale, please contact department specialists. If an item does not include a description of condition in the catalogue, it doesn’t mean that the actual item carries no defects. If you need additional help, please refer to Article 5 of the Buyer’s Rule in the catalogue.
Restricted Items
Marked items in the catalogue are identified as containing restricted materials that may face restrictions upon import and export. Please note that as a matter of convenience to readers, certain items are not marked, but they may also face such restrictions. Whenever they were made or however valuable they may be, items that are made of, or contain, plant or animal materials, such as coral, crocodile, ivory, whale bone, hawksbill, rhinoceros horn and Brazilian rosewood, may be exported from Hong Kong with government permits or certificates, and imported to other countries with permits or certificates issued by local governments. For example, the import of ivory items less than 100 years old to the United States is illegal. Bidders shall refer to government regulations on import and export restrictions on plants and animals prior to bidding. The buyer is held responsible for obtaining all the proper import or export permits and/or certificates, and other relevant government papers. Electric Appliances and Machinery
All electric appliances and machinery are sold on the basis of their decorative purposes. Bidders should not assume that they are operational, and should have them examined and approved by qualified technicians before using them for any purposes.
